2017 Sheep Drive

Stepping out into the sunshine at London Bridge on Sunday morning there was an unfamiliar smell. Well, unfamiliar to city dwellers...

Ah, that's why! It's the day of the annual London Sheep Drive!

Every year, the Worshipful Company of Woolmen organises this magnificent event to uphold the right of freemen to drive their sheep across London Bridge.

You don't have to be a farmer though, anyone can register to do it, and you don't have to bring your own sheep!

It's a colourful occasion,

to be enjoyed by all the family

The event is run as part of the Annual Wool Fair and raises money for the Lord Mayor's Appeal.
