On a recent trip to the Greek Islands we discovered what must be the world’s most peaceful resting place. On a hilltop overlooking the Aegean, silent except for the sound of the wind and the crickets was this tiny graveyard. We recognised one of the names on the gravestones as Captain of a ferry boat that travels between the Lesser Cyclades. Captain Skopelitis was running this same ferry way back in my student days. Now his son carries on the family tradition.
